While millions celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month every June around the world, there is concern year-round for the impact of suicide on our LGBTQ+ youth.

According to The Center for Disease Control

  • Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among young people ages 10 to 24.

  • LGBQ+ youth seriously contemplate suicide at almost three times the rate of heterosexual youth.

  • LGBQ+ youth are almost five times as likely to have attempted suicide compared to heterosexual youth.
